The new theme this month is Mixed Media with Autumnal hues and for my second project I mixed ink, paint and stamped elements to make a journal page. The fabulous quote is from Anne of Green Gables! I hope you'll join in with us this month, there's a prize for the winner if you do!

Create Art
For my second project this month on the theme of metal I wanted to make something that could easily be a card or front to an art journal or a variety of other uses! I painted the tag with Snowflake Fresco Paint and added Gathered Twigs Distress Ink through a stencil. Then I added the stamped leaves and then assembled the pieces continuing the metal theme. I like the simplicity of this tag - sometimes it's good to keep it simple - something I should try more often!

I don't like...
For this month's Blue and Green theme (which I have LOVED!) I have tried to think a little more differently and make a journal page in less than half an hour.
I simply added white Fresco Finish paint to a black page in my journal and made sure that it was thin coverage so some of the black shows through. I'd used a stencil for my first project this month and so I simply used the leftover ink by flipping the stencil over and rubbing it to transfer the ink to the page (which is why the numbers are reversed!) The blue heart and green coloured stamped images finish off the page.
Thank you, as always for popping by!

Use Your Wings
For my second project this month following our really fabulous theme of Things with Wings I made one of Tim Holtz' fabulous houses.
I used PaperArtsy paints for the background of the house and a selection of images and Ideaology to decorate it.
There's some dictionary paper on the roof that I distressed. I added a butterfly to the back to add another set of wings!

Love heart
For my second project for this month's Heart theme I have made a page in my Dylusions Dyary. The heart is a Wendy Vecchi stencil (with PaperArtsy paints on black card) so I added some of my favourite leaf and flower stamps from Wendy too. I added a Dylusions stencils in the background and some washi tape. I loved making this page - and I hope you have been inspired to join in too - there's still time to enter and you may win a prize!

Happiness blooms from within
This month's challenge theme of Flower Power is terrific as there are so many ways you can incorporate flowers into your art. I made a page in my journal and used the idea of a jam jar filled with flowers as my central image. The colours are all complementary meaning that the yellowy orange flowers really pop out from the background. Thank you for joining me today and I hope you enter our challenge for the chance to win a great prize. Gabrielle x

Rusty Things
I have made a rusty looking tag for my second project this month. The whole piece is made with lots and lots of layers of paint and is a pretty easy effect to achieve! There is more explanation of this technique on my blog. Gabrielle x

Dream
This month's challenge to be inspired by Tim Holtz has meant I've dusted off some of my favourite of his older stamps. I used Distress ink and then spritzed water through a stencil to make the background. I used lots of Glossy Accents on the wings, crown and motto. When it was dry I bent the wings and crown so they cracked. If you would like to see more, please pop along to my blog. Thank you as always for popping by. Gabrielle x

Multiple Personalities
I am loving this 30 minute challenge this month! I am really thankful that I've not tidied my studio in yonks so I have so much to hand to play with so I've not had to waste time searching for anything!
For this page in my Dylusions Journal I used a similar technique as I did on my first project this month and expanded on it! To make sure I stayed within the time limit I stamped my chaps on book paper and resisted the urge to colour them in! That was a lot harder than I thought! The hats were Dylusion stamps - a combination of hats and bunting turned upside down! I timed myself and this page took me 29 minutes - phew! Just made it in time!
If you would like to see a step by step guide on how I made this then please pop over to my blog.
Hope you feel inspired to join in with us this month,

The current theme of Anything Goes means that I got to immortalise the new year in my journal! There are several paint layers in the background coupled with a few stencils and some fabulous industrial stamps from Tim Holtz. Al always, there's more information on my blog.
Have you created anything to commemorate the new year? If so why not enter it into the draw - there's a terrific prize if you win!

Happy Christmas
As you know the Country View Crafts theme this month is, unsurprisingly, Christmas! For my second project this month I made a page in one of my small journals. I started by painting the page with blue paint and then stamping on some holly leaves. I then coloured them in. The 'before' picture is below! I then added a black stencilled border to the bottom to act as a shelf and then added six parcels to sit on it! little banner stamped with one of Emma Godfrey's sentiment stamps finished it off. I think you could use this as a card or tag for a present - don't you?!

Fright Night
I am thrilled to be back this month and sharing one of my most favourite Halloween makes! This little page in my smallest journal has the smallest Tim Holtz book cover as the background - I thought it looked like a wrought iron door (does it?!) and lots of PaperArtsy stamps to accompany my little chap. For details on how I made this, please pop over to my blog.

Enjoy the Journey
My second project this month uses a stamp I've never inked before (I was stunned I'd never used it!) which is the fabulous skyline stamp. The rest have been very much used before! The background is made using PaperArtsy's Infusions. I've been using them a lot recently!

A Day At The Beach
I couldn’t resist using JoFy’s beach huts once again this month. They really evoke the ‘Hot Summer Days’ of my youth! I have layered Infusions, blue and white paint in the background and then a little row of Beach Huts. It was quite a sunny, cheery piece but n ow I look at it again it looks quite ‘after-the-storm’ – much like my memories of holidays as a child! At least the sun is coming out!

Double 003.5
This theme of circles this month was perfect for me! I stamped a random assortment of Emma Godfrey’s circles as a background because I’d enjoyed the simple effect I’d created last time but then had the (possibly bonkers) idea of adding this little chap in one and suddenly he reminded me of the title sequence of 007 films and knowing he was a little chap I’d need two of them to make a full 007! Sometimes I really amuse myself when I’m creating journal pages so I hope this amused you! As always there is more on my blog. Gabrielle x

Cracking Invite
I am really inspired by this Crackle theme this month and made this invite for a family get together for my daughter's sweet sixteenth birthday - as always there are more details on my blog. I used PaperArtsy's Crackle Glaze which is so much fun to use because the cracks very quickly appear before your eyes as it works its magic! Perfect for those, like me, who are really impatient!
We are really looking forward to seeing your entries!

Be bold
For my second project for this month's fabulous stencils theme I wanted to use some of my favourite stencils. I used squares, stars, leaf and numbers and then added the stamped butterfly and sentiment. Stencils can be a main focal point, like the leaf here or can be used to build up the background. However you use them we'd love to see, so please join in with this month's challenge! It's also not too late to take part in the Blog Hop - for more details on both please pop over here.

Let's Party!
For my second project this month I used a quotation from Robin Williams - Spring is nature's way of saying "let's party!" as my inspiration. I have fallen in love with Darcy's new stamps and wanted to create a journal page combining the two! As always, there is more on my blog. We hope that you've joined in with us this month - if not, there's plenty of time left! Gabrielle x

Industrial Easter Bunny
I am loving this month's theme of "Industrial" and found myself wondering what the Easter Bunny would look like if they were given a little make over - after all Easter is just round the corner! So here is my take on an industrial rabbit! Lots of metal tape, embossing folders and paint techniques were used! Hope you like him (or is the Easter Bunny a girl?!) As always, there is more on my blog. Gabrielle x
