Always Believe...

Hi, it's Sue here with my second 'stencilled' piece. This was very much a learning piece for me as it was the first time I've used the face stencils, but it was fun, and I can see how the 'faces' craze has taken off.
I hope that Friday 13th is kind to you, but no walking under ladders just to be on the safe side.
As always more details can be found here on my blog.
Have a fun weekend x

April Winners

Hello all!  We're here today to celebrate the springtime projects you shared with us in April - and what a lot of wonderful entries there were.  You certainly made life hard for Monika.  As she said:  I think I had the most difficult task to choose 4 pieces from the stunning entries of our April’s Challenge. It seemed an impossible mission (mission impossible - LOL) to find just 4 creations!!!

But before we get to those top picks, here's our PaperArtsy Infusions winner chosen by Mr Random Generator.

And that's Akshma of Akshma Creations with these charming cards.

Congratulations Akshma!  Your winner's badge and PaperArtsy Infusions will be on the way to you shortly, and we hope you'll join us as a Guest Designer here at Country View Challenges in the months to come.

So now to Monika's Top Three choices, in no particular order...

Monika said:  This is a delightful shabby chic card with Graphic45 papers! I love the trio of the purple, green and soft pink colours! The handmade flowers are so beautiful! This feminine card is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day!

Monika said:  This is an interesting mixed media canvas with a dimensional wreath on it! I love the bright spring colours of the flowers contrasting with the black background!

Monika said:  This is a fabulous tag! I loved the way Etsuko made the flowers and how she used the bump technique through the PaperArtsy stencil. I loved the little shimmers and the definitely spring colours!

And last but certainly not least, here is Monika's choice for her Design Team Member's Special Mention.

Monika said:  I love the bright and vivid colours of the flowers and the whole canvas! I love that this is a unique creation, a real mixed media painting with many layers and many crackles! The center flower is just amazing!

Warm congratulations to all our winners.  Your badges will be on the way to you shortly, and we hope you'll display them with pride.  And thank you again to all of you who played along.  You certainly shared the joy of springtime crafting with us, and we enjoyed visiting each and every one of you.

Don't forget our May Challenge - Use a Stencil - is now underway, as well as our exciting Birthday Bloghop, with the amazing prize of a Sizzix BigShot Machine & Die Bundle.  You can enter both the challenge and the bloghop, or you might just want to enter one or the other.  You'll find all the details here, so we hope you'll come and play and hop along!

Happy Crafting all!

Use a stencil, #39

Here is my second piece of work to highlight techniques using a stencil. I seem to be in a "flowers growing on everything" phase.

So hop on over to Christine's 1st Project - Use A Stencil

It was my turn this month to choose the challenge theme and I decided to stick with what Alison (Butterfly) had chosen before stepping down. Stencils... a licence to play isn't it!
I certainly played extensively in the making of this tag, with lots of DIY stencils as well as bought ones. Do come over to my blog for a picture loaded post that reveals all...

This theme couldn't be more perfect for me as I LOVE stencils! For my first project this month I was more restrained than usual and added stencilled bullrushes in the background (highlighted with watercolour pencils) and some stencilled arrows. The whole background has about 20 layers of paint and Infusions on it and I love it!

I had some fun in my art journal using a number of stencils with Distress Inks and Texture Paste. It was an adventure with no initial plan - hence the title! I have a step by step on my blog if you would like to see more.

I had lots of fun using a couple of stencils to make this card for this months challenge - I have a short step by step over at my blog here. Please pop along if you would like to see how I made this.

I'm a big fan of stencils so this was a really fun challenge for me. More details and photographs can be found on my blog Sue The Iron x

The theme of the May challenge seems just chosen for me! I admit - I´m addicted to stencils! They are so versatile to use and I love to work with them. For my card I used several stencils in different ways. If you want to see what I did, please visit my blog!
Thank you and come back at the middle of the month for my second project.

Hello to you all, wow !!!  May already where is this year going ?.
I am sharing a card today where I have used stencils in my background.
As always you can get more details from my blog

Addicted to Art - Layering Stencils and Wildflower Die
I do love my layering stencils so decided to make a few cards with differing techniques. For details of the techniques please hop over to Addicted to Art.

For our May Challenge - Use a stencil - I created a mixed media canvas in coffee theme. I mostly used dies and stamps by Tim Holtz, except the stencil which was a 12x12 striped stencil. For more details, please visit my blog. Thank you!

It's May everybody! How exciting! Lighter evenings, warmer days, we hope, and more ideas here on Country View Crafts.
Darcy's new stencils have wavy and jagged edges, which inspired me to create a sunset! If you would like more detail on how I created this, then pop over to my blog.

Stencils and texture paste are just my go to technique when wanting to create some dimension on a project and I used it on the background of this notebook cover. As always more details and photographs of the process steps can be found over at Bumblebees and Butterflies.

Corrie
Hello everyone !
Can you believe it is May already ! Time flies when you are having fun, and fun I had making this postcard for Christine's fabulous challenge of using a stencil. I hope it will give you some inspiration to play along with us !!! There is a brief explanation on my blog about how to make this. You will find my blog HERE.
I will be back towards the end of the month with another project. Hope to see you again ! Corrie x
What a great May challenge this is for me as I love using stencils in my crafting. My only problem was choosing which of the dozens I own to use! I made a card for an upcoming  May wedding in very vibrant spring colours. I have a step by step over on my blog for you to see how I put this together here. Please pop on over, a warm welcome awaits you.

So it's over to you now, create your project and link it below
And don't forget to come back throughout May for more inspiration

Springtime Twosome

Hello all, it's Alison here with my second piece of inspiration for you for Monika's lovely Spring challenge.  You've just got a few more days to get your entries in.

For my second offering I've got a pair of tags created with the same floral stamp, but on one it's stamped and embossed in a lighter colour than the background and on the other it's stamped in a darker colour... I really love the subtly contrasting effects.  Do come over to see more details at Words and Pictures, and we hope you'll be inspired to come and play along this month - you've got just a few days left.

Let's Party!

For my second project this month I used a quotation from Robin Williams - Spring is nature's way of saying "let's party!" as my inspiration. I have fallen in love with Darcy's new stamps and wanted to create a journal page combining the two! As always, there is more on my blog. We hope that you've joined in with us this month - if not, there's plenty of time left! Gabrielle x
