The Usual Suspects

Good morning, and I hope it's another warm one. Haven't the last few days been beautiful. When I was younger I hated the sunshine, but the older I get the more I like it!
For my second piece I'm celebrating all things Alice. I must admit I'm not a fan of the Alice films (shock horror), but I do love Alice stamps.
More details can be found here at Sue The Iron.
Don't forget to join in, and have a fun week x

p.s I think the cat did it....

Cracking Invite

I am really inspired by this Crackle theme this month and made this invite for a family get together for my daughter's sweet sixteenth birthday - as always there are more details on my blog. I used PaperArtsy's Crackle Glaze which is so much fun to use because the cracks very quickly appear before your eyes as it works its magic! Perfect for those, like me, who are really impatient!
We are really looking forward to seeing your entries!

June Challenge - Crackle

Welcome everyone to our June Challenge

This months theme is Crackle chosen by Evelyn, checkout what our Designers have created and then get crackling
I love crackles - there is always some kind of magic by using several crackle mediums! To show you some different possibilities of the use of crackle mediums, I decided to make a little vintage tag. If you want to know more about how I made, please hop over to my blog!

June is the month in which we will be celebrating Father's day, here in the UK, on Sunday 19th. I decided to make a Father's Day card, with a crackle base, for my dear Dad.  I used DecoArt products, vintage book pages and a childhood photo of me. A step by step of how I created this can be found over at my blog here.

I love crackle, I find I'm using it more and more in my crafting. However, it doesn't always go well, and this piece has been an exercise in painting over in white and starting over again. Full details can be found here on my blog.

I love using crackle mediums and there are so many of them out there. On my blog today I am sharing the effects of four of the DecoArt ones, how you can use them and how you can get five different techniques from them. If you look closely the four cups all have a different finish as does the background. There's crackle galore.

Hello there - I have experimented with a new to me crackle technique to make this piece - I think the crackle is very cool - come and see more over at my blog here.

To ease you in our Crackle theme, I picked an easy, no fuss, no mess method of getting crackle on your makes! Come and see the details on my blog and I'll get you crackling in no time!

Addicted to Art - PaperArtsy Hot Picks and crackle texture paste
For this challenge I used a wooden panel as my substrate adding crackle texture paste along with these fabulous PaperArtsy butterflies. Do join me at Addicted to Art for more details today.

For our June Challenge I created a canvas board with hot air balloons. To fulfill our requirements I made a crackled background and I also crackled the hot air balloons. For this I used 2 types of crackle medium and on my blog you will find the details. Thanks!

I decided to have some fun with my Tim Holtz Village Dwelling Die this month and used crackle paste on my walls for this fanciful little blue house.  Join me over on my blog if you would like to see more.

I love crackle - there are so many ways to achieve the look and it can add some fabulous texture to our projects! This is a cardboard base with some PaperArtsy crackle paint on top - please pop by my blog where I show the three easy steps and how I used the finished project! Gabrielle x

These gorgeous creations from our Design Team will give you inspiration to use your own crackle. So it's over to you now, create your project and link it below

Canvas board and stencilling.

Hi it's Brenda here today to show you a media board created with stencils, texture paste and DecoArt media acrylic paints.

I love lots of technique in my backgrounds and layered two different stencils to create the backdrop for this grungy framed found relative and flowers left over from my CVC reverse canvas workshop. I've happily shown a few more photos of the process steps over at Bumblebees and Butterflies if you can make it.

Have a great week.

Be bold

For my second project for this month's fabulous stencils theme I wanted to use some of my favourite stencils. I used squares, stars, leaf and numbers and then added the stamped butterfly and sentiment. Stencils can be a main focal point, like the leaf here or can be used to build up the background. However you use them we'd love to see, so please join in with this month's challenge! It's also not too late to take part in the Blog Hop - for more details on both please pop over here.
