Baby, You're a STAR

Hi it's Brenda here and I'm sharing an easel card with you today to fit in with the theme of STARS which is our challenge for November.

I love adding an easel to a canvas board so that it makes a standing card to give a friend, I think it makes it kinds special.

If you'd like to see how I made it then please pop over to Bumblebees and Butterflies for more details.

Hopefully with our continuous projects appearing on the blog we are enticing you to join in and enter the challenge, you can press the link Here or on the sidebar of the main challenge blog page to see more about it.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.

November 2016 - Stars

Welcome everyone to our new challenge for November with the title
STARS
chosen by the lovely Rachel

Hello all! Welcome to a new challenge here at Country View challenges. Its my choice this month and I have gone with the theme of stars. I am hoping its a broad theme so that lots of you will join us! I can't wait to see what you make! My first make includes one of the new Elena Zinski stamps from PaperArtsy - for more details please see my blog here.

My first make for our November theme is a card for someone special.
No glitter but shine aplenty!

Join me on my blog to learn how I made it!

I love this month's theme - there are so many ways stars can be used and my incredibly talented Team mates have shown some fabulous ideas. My tag has a little back story (pop over here to read it!) and there are stencilled stars and stamp stars surrounding the figures.

Recently I spent some time walking in a forest, and that experience inspired this journal page full of stars! I loved the colours of the leaves as they floated down forming a vibrant carpet; they reminded me of falling stars but I kept mine in the sky. Hope you can pop over to see the technique I have to share.  See you soon hugs Debs xx

Here are my round wooden boxes I have made for our November challenge. There are slight differences between the two boxes and if you want know how I put them together, please visit my blog.

I've gone very grungy mixed media for this challenge using a Tando media board and some chipboard shapes to add dimension. Thanks to the lovely Rachel for choosing this theme as I now have something to add to my daughter's tree stocking. It has become traditional that every year I buy her something with a star on, because that's what she is. More details are on my blog as always. xxx

After months of hunting I finally found my matchbox die so gave it an outing for my STAR project  which was lots of fun to make and had me hunting around for all my star themed stash!

Do join me over on my blog if you would like to see more!

Country View Crafts Crew have Stars in Their Eyes this month, and here is my Dimensional offering.
I really enjoyed creating this festive piece. For more info, visit my blog.

Good morning, and welcome to our November challenge. To celebrate our 'stars' challenge I've gone back to the Golden Age of Hollywood.

I must admit I do love old films (or anything with Colin Firth in it) and in this piece I have a combination of a very old stamp, and a new Andy Skinner stencil.
If you would like a closer look pop on over to my blog
I'm looking forward to seeing what you make, and I will be back later in the month with my second piece.

Brrr we have arrived in November and it is time for those long dark nights when we start drawing the curtains earlier and earlier in the afternoon. Rachel's lovely theme of "Stars" for this month's challenge is perfect to light up a November day.
I have made a starry fairy Christmas card to shine a little light into these dark days. If you would like to see how I made my card I have a step by step over on my blog here where a very warm (and bright) welcome awaits you.
Bye for now,
Jane x

Halloween cards with haunted houses

Here are my second pieces of our November Challenge. Why two? Because I nearly throw away the second card in my picture. I made a mistake which ruined the left corner of my card. But later I had an idea to cover it with a big pumpkin :-) So I have two cards and on my blog I can give you a tutorial. Happy Halloween!

Fright Night

I am thrilled to be back this month and sharing one of my most favourite Halloween makes! This little page in my smallest journal has the smallest Tim Holtz book cover as the background - I thought it looked like a wrought iron door (does it?!) and lots of PaperArtsy stamps to accompany my little chap. For details on how I made this, please pop over to my blog.

Spooky pink shrine

Welcome to my Friday inspiration project for the Spooky challenge we have going this month.

There are some apothecary bottles with nasty poisonous things in them, a ghoulish image and a rat coming to have a nosy around in case there's anything for him. Pink you say? Yes pink for a change. There are more details and photos at Bumblebees and Butterflies for you to peruse.

Have a happy weekend.

Spooks Shrine

Hello everyone, Debs here with my second piece for this months challenge, all things Spooky.
I wanted to show the Shrine lit up with the candle, but it does look rather dark, or is it meant to be dark...
