It's December 5th! A big day for the Hungarian kids, Saint Nicholas (Mikulás) will come tonight in his deer pulled sleigh to put tiny presents and candies to their shiny boots! And the countdown begins! I thought I would make an Advent Calendar Clock for my two grandchildren and had great fun using up lots of scraps of favourite papers from the last few years. Hooray the real countdown to Christmas starts today. I have my list written and I'm checking it twice. I made a snowy card for today's Christmas challenge as I am sure we all secretly wish for a White Christmas; there is something magical about snow isn't there.

I am not all that keen on Christmas and probably look a bit like this dog when the day arrives...lol

I do love these Crazy Dogs though and paired with this sentiment I think it makes a funny scene.. I filmed the process of making this page. You find the link for the video on my blog HERE.

Christmas is my most favourite time of the year and I love all the hype and buildup to the big day, but it is a time for family and friends, for gatherings and for reflecting on what Christmas really means.

The Country View Challenges theme this month is Stars and I I couldn't help but use this Marilyn Monroe quotation! It seemed so perfect! The stencilled stars were made using Metallic Glaze paint so they had a shimmer when the light catches them!

Baby, You're a STAR

Hi it's Brenda here and I'm sharing an easel card with you today to fit in with the theme of STARS which is our challenge for November.

I love adding an easel to a canvas board so that it makes a standing card to give a friend, I think it makes it kinds special.
