So hop on over to Christine's 1st Project - Use A Stencil

It was my turn this month to choose the challenge theme and I decided to stick with what Alison (Butterfly) had chosen before stepping down. Stencils... a licence to play isn't it!
I certainly played extensively in the making of this tag, with lots of DIY stencils as well as bought ones. Do come over to my blog for a picture loaded post that reveals all...

This theme couldn't be more perfect for me as I LOVE stencils! For my first project this month I was more restrained than usual and added stencilled bullrushes in the background (highlighted with watercolour pencils) and some stencilled arrows. The whole background has about 20 layers of paint and Infusions on it and I love it!

I had some fun in my art journal using a number of stencils with Distress Inks and Texture Paste. It was an adventure with no initial plan - hence the title! I have a step by step on my blog if you would like to see more.

I had lots of fun using a couple of stencils to make this card for this months challenge - I have a short step by step over at my blog here. Please pop along if you would like to see how I made this.

I'm a big fan of stencils so this was a really fun challenge for me. More details and photographs can be found on my blog Sue The Iron x

The theme of the May challenge seems just chosen for me! I admit - I´m addicted to stencils! They are so versatile to use and I love to work with them. For my card I used several stencils in different ways. If you want to see what I did, please visit my blog!
Thank you and come back at the middle of the month for my second project.

Hello to you all, wow !!!  May already where is this year going ?.
I am sharing a card today where I have used stencils in my background.
As always you can get more details from my blog

Addicted to Art - Layering Stencils and Wildflower Die
I do love my layering stencils so decided to make a few cards with differing techniques. For details of the techniques please hop over to Addicted to Art.

For our May Challenge - Use a stencil - I created a mixed media canvas in coffee theme. I mostly used dies and stamps by Tim Holtz, except the stencil which was a 12x12 striped stencil. For more details, please visit my blog. Thank you!

It's May everybody! How exciting! Lighter evenings, warmer days, we hope, and more ideas here on Country View Crafts.
Darcy's new stencils have wavy and jagged edges, which inspired me to create a sunset! If you would like more detail on how I created this, then pop over to my blog.

Stencils and texture paste are just my go to technique when wanting to create some dimension on a project and I used it on the background of this notebook cover. As always more details and photographs of the process steps can be found over at Bumblebees and Butterflies.

Hello everyone !
Can you believe it is May already ! Time flies when you are having fun, and fun I had making this postcard for Christine's fabulous challenge of using a stencil. I hope it will give you some inspiration to play along with us !!! There is a brief explanation on my blog about how to make this. You will find my blog HERE.
I will be back towards the end of the month with another project. Hope to see you again ! Corrie x
What a great May challenge this is for me as I love using stencils in my crafting. My only problem was choosing which of the dozens I own to use! I made a card for an upcoming  May wedding in very vibrant spring colours. I have a step by step over on my blog for you to see how I put this together here. Please pop on over, a warm welcome awaits you.

So it's over to you now, create your project and link it below
And don't forget to come back throughout May for more inspiration

Springtime Twosome

Hello all, it's Alison here with my second piece of inspiration for you for Monika's lovely Spring challenge.  You've just got a few more days to get your entries in.

For my second offering I've got a pair of tags created with the same floral stamp, but on one it's stamped and embossed in a lighter colour than the background and on the other it's stamped in a darker colour... I really love the subtly contrasting effects.  Do come over to see more details at Words and Pictures, and we hope you'll be inspired to come and play along this month - you've got just a few days left.

Let's Party!

For my second project this month I used a quotation from Robin Williams - Spring is nature's way of saying "let's party!" as my inspiration. I have fallen in love with Darcy's new stamps and wanted to create a journal page combining the two! As always, there is more on my blog. We hope that you've joined in with us this month - if not, there's plenty of time left! Gabrielle x

Industrial Winner and Top Picks

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce our winner and top picks from last month's Industrial challenge.  What a great selection of entries - so many fantastic projects for us to visit and enjoy.  Just a quick reminder, though - do remember you need to include a link back to us here (not just a mention) in order to qualify for the prize draw.  Do get in touch if you're not sure how - I'm sure one of us will be able to help out.  But thank you to all of you for joining in with our birthday challenge and for your kind birthday wishes too.

But now, without further ado, here is our winner of the prize voucher, as picked by Mr Random Generator...

That's Sharon at From My Craft Desk who created this brilliantly zingy industrial tag.

Congratulations, Sharon!  We'll be in touch very soon with your badge, prize voucher and an invitation to come and join us as a guest here at Country View Challenges.

And now on to our Top Three, and Debs really had her work cut out trying to choose her favourites, but here they are, in no particular order...

#28 Mo Stokes of almo craft

Debs said: I love all the rusty layers, and how the cogs give so much depth to the piece. What really stands out for me, is the pop of blue and green on the butterfly. Love it!

Debs said: I think this is fabulous, a true piece of engineering. I love the way the cogs all seem interlocking and the pipe leads my eye around the clock. Great background too.

#13 Donna of Inky and Quirky

Debs said: I think I was drawn to this one because of the rusty butterfly(a fav of mine) as I love the rich colour, which fades out slightly on the tips. I also love the crackle background.

And finally for the Design Team Member's Special Mention...

A really charming take on the theme - the textures on this Industrial perambulator are fantastic.

Congratulations to all of you!  Badges will be on their way to you shortly, and we hope you will display them with pride.  Thank you again to everyone who joined in.  We had a great time visiting all your Industrial creations, and we hope you'll come and play along in Monika's lovely Spring challenge.  Happy Crafting all!

What's inside my spring box?

Jane

Hello again, it's Jane here today and I am back today with my 2nd Spring inspiration piece. Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments you left for my debut piece on Friday. I had a wonderful birthday..so much to celebrate in one day!

This time I have taken an empty face cream box and transformed it into a Spring gift box.
There is also something very special inside....a handmade mixed metal pendant for my daughter's Spring 30th birthday.
If you would like to see what's inside the box please pop over to my blog here where all will be revealed. I also have a step by step of how my box transformation took place.

I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our Spring challenge which is running until the 30th April.  The prize from Susan this month is awesome...the complete set of PaperArtsy infusions...wow I really wish I could enter too.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

Jane x
