Good morning and welcome to August. The holiday season is in full swing, and many of us are chasing (or avoiding) the sunshine. My lovely lady is definitely beach ready.
Hands up who looks looks like this in their beachwear - no me neither. There are more details here on my blog, and I'll be back later on in the month with the other side of my giant tag. Have a fun month, and thanks very much for looking x
Hello there! I've been drawn to the sea for this challenge - I've made a hanger using board and paint, stamps and lolly sticks and string! Head over to my blog here for details. Hugs rachel xx
Teresa here with a seaside themed mini shrine, full of happy memories of family holidays.
You can find out how I created it on my blog along with more detail photos. I can't wait to see what everybody creates for our Sun, Sea and Sand Challenge!
Welcome to sunny August and it looks like this year the weather is behaving and we are being treated to some real seaside weather. For my inspiration piece for this month's challenge I have made a photo holiday journal after our recent holiday in Majorca.
This is the front cover, you can find the back cover, and a full step by step of how I created my journal covers over on my blog here. There are also some sunny holiday photos too. I would love for you to pop on over...remember those sun glasses!
What a perfect theme for this August, especially with such an extraordinary
hot and DRY British weather! A beach holiday is in order, methinks...
This month, I picked up Tim Holtz simple-but-oh-so-brilliant new product and experimented for your pleasure... Do come over to my blog for the low down on Alcohol Lift Ink.
August is the month of long holidays (at least for me 😀).
So the challenge theme this month is perfect!
I made a summer birthday card.
If you want to see, how I made this, you can watch the process video on my YouTube channel.
Of course you can also hop to my blog for more information.
Now I hope you´ll use your spare time and join the challenge!
Have wonderful holidays!
Miriam

Hi again. Miriam here, sharing with you my second project for the challenge this month. Hasn't the inspiration been amazing? And there's still more to come.
Today I am sharing a tag that I have decorated using texture, stencils, grey board and paints.

June winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is...
I love the graduating colour change in the background and the use of the layering. The stencilled leaves add subtle detail allowing the purple flower to stand out.
A beautiful journal spread with a wealth of colour and texture. The use of threads and fabric add interest and the way that the figure's face is framed really draws the eye in.
I love the timeworn feel of this piece and the rich colour combination. The stencilled and textured background adds depth and interest, recreating a rusted patina finish perfectly.
The attention to detail in this travel journal is incredible. There is so much to see, little tags and pockets, and vintage ephemera. Such a labour of love and a pleasure to see.

Fantastic work all around! Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride.
And don't forget there is still time to join us in our July Challenge In The Summer Garden
Hello there! How are you? Its Rachel here with you today and the summer garden card that I made for my lovely mum's summer birthday. I used a set of JOFY stamps from paperartsy to make this card and the details of what I did can be found on my blog here.
Good morning and happy Monday. It's Sue here with my second Summer Garden piece. I've gone with two of my favourite things, PaperArtsy stamps and paints, but just to prove the 'pleasure/pain' theory, there's also fussy cutting.
There are more photo's here on my blog, so please come on over. Have a lovely day, and thanks very much for looking x
Hello it's Jane here again with my 2nd DT make for my "In the summer garden" theme for this month's challenge. I used one of the new amazing Tim Holtz 3D embossing plates for my background and the amazing Visible Image butterfly stamps and new words.
I have a step by step and some more garden photos to inspire you over on my blog here. A very warm and sunny welcome await you if you would like to pop on over. I am really enjoying visiting you and seeing your lovely summer garden inspired projects and I hope to see lots of you joining us this month.
