Celebrate

Hello crafters, this is Craftyfield hosting today's post.

Special celebrations to mark the 75th Anniversary of the end of the World War 2 were curtailed due to the lockdown.
Instead of (non-existant) photos, I will give you an Artist's impression... you know like drawings
produced for future buildings, more poetic than accurate!

Come by my blog to read up on the details.

Have a great week!

Guest Designer Esther Asbury

Today we are welcoming a Guest Designer, Esther who was our January Winner

Hello friends, I'm Esther from the beautiful state of Virginia, USA. I've been happily married to my husband for over 20 years and we have one beautiful daughter and two spoiled rotten dogs! I've enjoyed quite a few different hobbies over the years, but my all time favorite is card making. I don't really have one definable style, but I enjoy trying new techniques and experimenting with different products.  I'm honored to be guest designing here on the Country View Crafts Blog today, and I hope my teacup card will inspire you to create something pretty in your own unique way!

Supplies and Tools:
  • In This Together Digital Stamp Set (Sweet n Sassy Stamps affiliate link)
  • Canson Mix Media Paper
  • Real Brush Pens (Arteza)
  • Petals and Blooms DP (The Paper Studio)
  • Elegant Pocket Accents Die (Heartfelt Creations)
  • Baker's Twine

Wow Esther, this is a lovely card. Thank you so much for taking the time to join us and we look forward to seeing more of your creations on our Challenges

Let's Meet For Tea

Miriam with you again today.

I hope you enjoyed the launch of my Challenge a few days ago.  I think that it's so important to have something to look forward to at the moment.  As yet, I am not sure when it will be, but, when it is safe to do so I cannot wait to see my friends, hug them and have a proper catch up over a cup of tea (or more likely gin to be honest!).

That's what inspired me to choose this theme.

Here is my second project for the Challenge.

Pop over to my blog to see more about this project.

And if you want to see more with these wonderful Alice papers you can see a mini album that I made for Country View Crafts here and the finished project here.

I hope you join in with this challenge - don't forget, you will be in the hat to win a voucher to spend in the shop if you link a project for the challenge.

Stay Safe
Miriam

May 2020 - Tea Party

Welcome to our May Challenge
Our theme this month is Tea Party , chosen by the lovely Miriam. We love you taking part in our challenges so this month, don't forget Tea Party and this can be any Celebration tea party as in Birthday, Anniversary etc and must be included in your projects to be in with a chance to win a £20 Gift Voucher.

Happy May to you all.
Welcome to the May challenge.
Today is my turn to choose the theme for the Country View Crafts Challenge.

I have chosen 'Tea Party'.

With the global pandemic on-going many of us are self-isolating or social distancing.  It's a hard time for most of us and we all miss family and friends.  I wanted the Challenge theme to be something to look forward to, something to celebrate and I thought the idea of a tea party of celebration party would be perfect.

Here is my first project for the challenge:

I've used the fabulous papers from the Stamperia Alice collection.  I simply adore these papers and can't get enough of them!

So much so, I made a mini album for Country View Crafts that you can see here and the finished album here.  You can see more details on my blog.

Thanks for joining me today.  I look forward to your tea party themes projects this month.

Stay safe

Miriam

Meet my thank you hummingbird.
At the moment I think thank you cards are such useful ones to make and send. There are so many incredible people keeping our country moving who we should be thanking.

March Challenge Winner, Top 3 & DTSM

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce the March Challenge Winner.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  So here is the winner of our Challenge and Jane's Top Three.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!
___________________________
March's "The Eyes have it" winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is.

I had such fun looking at all the great entries for the March challenge I hosted. My "the eyes have it" theme seemed to capture lots of crafters' imagination and I loved seeing your makes. I did not have time to comment on every entry but I did visit every single one.

It is always hard to cut my favourites down to a Top 3 but needs must and here goes in order of date entry;

This is such a gorgeous layered project and her Kim's colouring is exquisite. I love the muted tones and all the tiny details. A real labour of love.
I loved the frame Tracey made for her eye and that it was just peeping out from underneath. Great textures and details too. Super work!
As you know I often make cats' eyes cards using my own cat Billy as inspiration and I loved that Elle based her scrapbook cover on one of her old cats Miss Posse who was a real no nonsense cat who she misses lots. This was a WIP started last June and put away. When the whole lock-down situation  kicked off recently she decided to get it out and finish it off. Well down Elle!

My Design team special mention though was an easy one.. Number 32 Lucy  How amazing is this eye under the dome. The details, including the tiny flowers Lucy made are really eye opening 😉 Well done Lucy a truly inspiring piece.
So that's it for me until the next challenge I host which is in December. Thanks everyone for taking part and remember we have our April "Magical Animals" challenge running right now here

Stay safe and keep crafting,

 Bye for now,

Jane x
