Keeping happy

Hi it's Jane here today with my 2nd project for our current "do more of what make you happy" challenge.
I am never happier than when I am making cards, even though Dotty's teahouse is closed I am still making them so that I will have lots of stock for when she is finally able to open again.
One of the rooms in the teahouse is Alice in wonderland themed and cards I make using this theme are always very popular. They certainly seem to make customers' happy!
So for today's post I am sharing a rather unusually coloured Cheshire cat using stamps by Visible Image to put a smile on everyone's face. If you would like to stroke  meet my cat and see how he came to life please pop on over to my blog here where a warm welcome and loud purr from Mr CC awaits. Enjoy your July,

Stay safe and creative,

Jane x

Year One Before And After

Good morning and happy Friday. I'm back with my second piece for this month's Do More Of What Makes You Happy challenge. This was made following another on-line class by the lovely Clare Charvill.
My son and his partner moved into their first home together a year ago, and I've made them a couple of brag books in a box as a sort of 'before and after' of their first year.

There are lots more photo's here on my blog, so please pop across and take a look.
Have a great month, and thanks so much for looking x

July 2020 - Do What Makes You Happy

Welcome to our July Challange, chosen by the Lovely Sue - Do More Of What Makes You Happy - Use your happy colours, favourite stamps etc

Sue
Good morning and welcome to July. We've all had a really tough few months, so for my challenge I'm asking you to do more of what makes you happy. This could be a favourite stamp, or colour, or in my case it's attending a crafty class (in this instance an online tutorial) and learning something new.

This is my Dad's Father's Day card which was inspired by a Graphic 45 tutorial. If you would like to pop over to my blog here there are lots more photos (including a few really bad ones lol) Take care and have a great month x

Summer really is in full swing now and one of the things that makes me very happy is sitting in my outside studio creating and being inspired by the hot colours in my garden. I also love working with alcohol inks and this is the technique I have chosen to share today for the challenge together with my favourite stamp brand, Visible Image. I have made a card for my husband as our 39th wedding anniversary on the 25th July.
If you would like to see how I achieved this very organic background for my card, all is revealed over on my blog here.
Have a wonderful summer,
Stay safe and stay creative,
Jane x

For our July challenge, I created a card with Tim Holtz's products
because these are the things I love.

If you like my card and need a tutorial, please visit my blog!

Hello there - there are two things about making this card that make me happy - using a newly learned background technique - and using a never before inked up stamp.....find out more over on my blog here. Have a great day!

A "Country View"

Hello it's Jane here today with some more inspiration for our June "summer fields" challenge.
I am missing the "country views" we usually take in with our walks with my daughter and her family but I hope it is not too long before we can finally be together again.

I created my own "country view" from my imagination and if you would like to see how this grew was made, using an alcohol ink background, just pop on over to my blog here where a warm and sunny welcome awaits.

Bye for now,

Hello everyone,

First I'd like to thank everyone for all the fabulous entries into my 'Animal Magic' challenge. I have loved looking at each and every one of them. It was very difficult to chose only three but I managed to pick three favourites in the end. So here goes; my top three in no particular order:

1)  #77 - Rosmarie

I love this card, especially how some of the rats have been places in the holes. Fabulous design!

#85 - Emma T.

This is a great project, love how the cat is actually placed on a cats head shaped piece of MDF. Fabulous colours too !

#138 - Dee Adams

I think this is my favourite entry this month! love the colours, the metallic details, the fish and the way the project has been put together. Fantastic !

A special mention goes to:

#55 - Sid

These zebra's are adorable ! Love them, great card!

Miriam's May Tea Party winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is.

Hi Everyone,  Miriam here.

Firstly I want to thank you all for joining in with the Tea Party challenge.  I really love to see you how you all interpret my theme.  And they certainly cheered me up.

Here are my top 3 of the month:

1. Elle

I love this so much - it incorporates two of my favourite things - Alice in Wonderland and Tea Parties.  Amazing mixed media project.  Pop over to Elle's blog to look at the full project.

This shows that less can be more.  I love the splash of colour in this journal page.  And the sarcasm in the quote made me chuckle!

3. Jo

I always love Jo's style, and I love everything about this journal page.  The colours are perfect and remind me of a hot summer in the garden, sipping tea.

And the Designer Special Mention this month goes to.....

DSP: Jane

Who doesn't love a shaped card?  This project is perfect for the tea party theme.  The papers remind me of old china and I love how the flowers work so well.  Perfect.

So there you have it - thank you so much to everyone that took the time to join in with the May challenge.

Happy crafting!
Miriam

Fantastic work all around!  Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride and don't forget there is still plenty of time to join us in our June Challenge hosted this month by the lovely Rachel with the theme Summer Fields
