September moments

Good morning it's Jane here today with another card using a different complimentary (or contrasting) colour pair for our September challenge. You will remember that my first card used the purple-yellow pair and was very in your face! This time I have a much softer feel by using the orange-blue pair of complimentary colours and made a card to remind me of the long sunny summer of 2020.
There, isn't that much more relaxing than my more psychedelic first card! If you would like to see how I made this, fly pop on over to my blog here where all is revealed.
Enjoy the last days of summer. Autumn really is just around the corner now.

Bye for now,

Red And Green Should Never Be Seen

Good morning and a very happy Wednesday. It's Sue here with my second piece for our fun challenge. This time I've used 2 sets of complementary colours for my birthday card, blue and orange, and red and green.

There are more photo's here on my blog if you would like to see how my card came together.
Just in case you are unsure of what the complementary colours are, here is the colour wheel.
Take care and have a great day! x

July & August Winners, Top 3 and DTSM

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce the July & August Challenge Winners.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  So here is the winner of our Challenge, Top Three & DTSM.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!
___________________________
Sue's theme Do What Makes You Happy July winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is
#147 Pearshapedcrafting.blogspot.com

Hi everyone, well you certainly made it difficult for me to choose my winners, with so many amazing entries. But, after much deliberation, here they are.

#28 Kylie

I love C&S but really struggle with it, so I really admire someone who can do it well. Plus Kylie already had me with the sequins!

#29 Mac Mabel

The colours here are so vibrant, fabulous composition, and great use of the stencils.

#50 Sara's Closet

Sara Emily Barker https://sarascloset1.blogspot.com/2020/07/christmas-all-ready.html Rustic Christmas Card Tutorial #timholtz #yuletide #wreath&snowflake #lumberjack 1
Sara, you always use such wonderful layers. Your pieces always have so much to see, but are never cluttered, AND
you've given your deer a bow tie!

DTSM - the Design Team Special Mention, our very top prize, and the Country View Crafts equivalent of the Pointless trophy and the Blankety Blank cheque book and pen all rolled into one goes to ....

#72 Emma
In my notes I've just written one word - brilliant! These crazies are always such fun, but they are also beautifully coloured and in the perfect setting. I did have to deduct a point though for my own constant singing of  ' Who Let The Dogs Out'

and now onto our August Challenge:

Craftyfield's theme "I like to be beside the seaside" August winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is
#35 Simone

Craftyfield has chosen these as her Top 3 makes:

First up a wonderful card, both funny and cleverly made by #19 Cocofolies:

Then a gorgeous Mixed Media make by #22 Tracey.
Craftyfield loved the textures added to the stamped images with yarn, beads and embossing.

Finally a Clean And Simple card from Mac Mable.
Sand and sea are barely suggested but do indeed illustrate the seaside to perfection!

Craftyfield's special mention goes to #43 Emma, who made a lovely
underwater scene with lots of sea creatures some stamped and some real ones too...

She also took the time to write a step by step on how to create bubbles!

….........…..

Fantastic work all around!  Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride and don't forget to join us in our September Challenge hosted this month by the Lovely Evelyn

Hello crafty friends,
for our September challenge I created a birthday card with all the main complementary colours.
Each circle and background as well were inked by myself.
If you like it, please hop on my blog for the details.
Happy September!

I rarely use a colour wheel when I design but for our September challenge I chose purple-yellow contrasting colours to make a really clashing card.
I wanted to make something with a very contemporary feel so I reached for some Visible Image stamp sets... the lips are sooo funky.
I think it has a Rolling Stones/60s feel and I really enjoyed making it. All the details are over on my blog just rock on  hop on over here where all is revealed.
Bye for now,
Jane x

For my second project I created a little panel using lolly pop sticks:

Pop over to my blog to see more about this panel.

Thanks for joining me.
