Shadow Box Scene

Hi everyone, Nikki here to share my second creation for this month's theme - Create a Scene. I have created this scene using Wendy Vecchi art parts and mounted them all in a shadow box. Here is a photo without the glass which is showing a horrible reflection of me!
Do pop over to my blog if you would like to see more details and photos.

Beauty in Simplicity

Hello to you all on this third day of Christmas!

Jennie here today to share another project for our Make a Scene Challenge.

I recently attended a workshop in Coventry where we made a shadow box with Michelle Webb. I enjoyed this so much I decided to make my own little box in a similar way and creating a snowy scene with some of the die cuts I bought during the weekend.

Please join me on my blog, Live The Dream,  if you would like more details of the paints, textures and techniques I used.

Don't forget you still have four more days to join us in our challenge. There is a £20 voucher to spend in the Country View Crafts shop for one lucky entrant and of course the chance for you to join us as a Guest Designer. So find yourself some crafting time and get stuck in !!!

Thank you for joining us today and Nikki will be along on Tuesday with our last post for this year.

Making a scene!

On behalf of our whole team may I wish you, and yours, a very happy Christmas.
I am sure that you are unwrapping presents and attending to Turkeys but if you needed a little more inspiration today for our 'Make a Scene' theme then this might help! I struggled with this theme a little so decided to treat it literally and decorated a jigsaw that you can... literally create a scene with! As always, there's more on my blog. Gabrielle x

Fir trees

Hi it's Brenda with you today to share my second project for the 'Create a Scene' challenge.

This is an MDF board project with three separate trees and a stand that can be altered/painted up as you wish and put together. I seem to have had a thing for 3d projects this year and loved making this one up using a mix of DecoArt products and other supplies from my Christmas craft box. This stands almost 28 cms tall so is a decent size and has a presence when it stands on the shelf in the conservatory. There are some more photos and a short description of how I put this together over on Bumblebees and Butterflies if you want to see more.

I hope all your Christmas preparations are going well.

Another scene by Astrid

Hello all and thanks for dropping by!
It's time for scenes here this month, but the good ones:o)
For my second project I created a scenic tag:
I used a ready tag from Graphics 45 and a Sheena Douglass stamp. If you want a bit more detail, feel free to visit my blog by clicking HERE
This one is quick and easy to do, which comes in handy so close to the big day. Hope your own preparations are going well. Don't forget the shop has loads of goodies (and free shipping) for all your Christmas and Yuletide crafting.
Thanks for your visit today,
Astrid

Last Days of Autumn Townscape

Hello all, Alison here to share some more inspiration for this month's
Create A Scene challenge.

My second creation for Rachel's lovely Create A Scene theme is an autumn townscape on that blustery day which strips the last of the leaves from the trees, leaving the bare branches silhouetted against the sky.  It's all taking place on a recycled jar, so if you'd like to see what it looks like all lit up you'll need to head over to Words and Pictures!

There's still plenty of time to join in,
so we hope to see you Create A Scene before the month is out!

#34 December - Create a scene

Wow it's the first of December and we are now into the busy season with all our preparations for Christmas. I don't know about you but I have a list as long as my arm and I am wondering when it will all get done, but I am sure it will somehow. But to start off December we have a brand new challenge chosen by the lovely Rachel and we are asking you to add any project that fits the title - 'Create a Scene'. The fabulous design team have pulled out all the stops and given you some amazing projects to get you thinking and hopefully started on your own card or project. Let's take a look.

Rachel
Hello there - I hope you are going to like my choice of theme for this month - its time to make a scene!!! For my first make I have done a Christmas card.
There is a full step by step at my blog here.
Hugs
Rachel x

I created a card for a child for this wonderful challenge theme chosen by Rachel. Not being a scenic stamper really, I found it quite tricky, but hey, nothing like a challenge.... If you want to see more, just hop over to my blog.

Doreen
I have decided to make a christmas scene today using a variety of stamps
Thank you Rachel I love making scenes.
You can get more details from my blog

Monika

Hello Ladies, for the December challenge - Make a scene - I created a Victorian shadow box. I have to tell you that I really enjoyed this theme (thank you, Rachel) and I was quite satisfied with my winter street scene. If you want to see my tutorial, please visit my blog.

It had to be a Christmas card for my first 'Make a Scene' creation! It is a bright and sparkly project for me this time. For some close ups and the how to guide do pop over to Addicted to Art.

Gabrielle

Now, for  many of my fellow team mates this theme came pretty easily. For me I needed to think outside the box a little - not a bad thing I hope! I chose recreate a scene we saw a lot in the summer - we went to lots of Stately Homes and saw deer heads on walls. One of mine has a little seasonal twist! For how I made these, please pop over to my blog! Gabrielle x

Debs
Hello everyone here is a board I made for this great theme, that the lovely Rachel chose for us.
You can see all the details on my blog here
By for now Hugs Debs xx

I was inspired by Rachel's theme to have a play with the fantastic tree stamps from Tim Holtz.  I love how you can layer them up to create a landscape with depth, and I created a snowy scene in one of my art journals with lots of inky layers and texture.  Do come over to Words and Pictures to see the sparkling snow close up!

I am afraid my (huge) stash of stamps does not include anything scenic to speak of so I have used a die and Weathered Wood and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks to create my snowy scene in this little shadow box. Having just been on a crackling weekend in Coventry, everything is being crackled at the moment!  If you would like to see more details then please hop on over to my blog.

Sue

Rachel has chosen a great theme for the challenge this month, though it did make my brain hurt at times trying to come up with a scene. Hope you like my Wintry picture -it even snowed for the photograph lol x
More details can be found here at Sue The Iron

I thought I would save my CVC workshop project to share with you today as I feel it fits perfectly with Rachel's fabulous challenge theme depicting a very icy and frosty scene in a shadowbox and a vignette or collection of items on the top. With more of a wintry influence than a Christmas one I thought it could be left out for the whole of the winter season and not just for the Christmas period. As always more details will be on my blog - just click on my name above to be transported there.

A huge thank you to the team for creating such fabulous projects and to you all for being part of our Country View Crafts Challenge blog. We look forward to seeing your creations appear and we hope you will be coming back regularly to see all the second projects that the team will be putting on here to give you even more ideas of how you could enter.

We hope you enjoy the build up to Christmas and have a wonderful festive season.

See you soon.

hugs Brenda and the CVC Team. xxxx
