Hello again it's Jane here with some more inspiration for our current autumn colours and/or Halloween challenge. My first make was traditional autumn colours so I thought I would go with the Halloween mix today, especially as it is the 13th!

I also wanted to play with the awesome new distress mica stains..any excuse! To see how my witch came to life just jump on your broomstick and pop on over to my blog here where all is revealed.

Have a great Halloween at the end of the month,

August & September Winners, DTSM & Top 3s

Hello everybody! Here are our August & September Winners.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!

The August winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is

Congratulations, you voucher code & badge will be emailed to you very soon
_____________

Hello everyone, Debs here with my top 3 and DTSM, which all show monochromatic in all its glory, and follow the simple rule of using only 1 colour.

First

Alice - entry number 39 - a fabulous take on the theme, which shows real skill  in the stamping of the lighter background and going darker for the foreground. Great use of composition too.

Second

Chrissy - entry number 17 - I love the simplicity of this card, which is hard to achieve , well it is for me lol. A really lovely card!

Third

Ionabunny - entry 19 - a truly monochromatic card with luscious hues of blue. I love the combination of the embossing folder

with the stamping both in the background and as a focal point.

Lastly the Design Team special mention

Mac - entry number 43- this really caught my eye. I can see lots of skills and techniques went into the making of this card

which, is clean and simple in design, but not simple to achieve. Starting with the fabulous composition, it is beautifully stamped and I love all the shimmer on the leaves

and flower, really loved it, as I’m sure did the recipient.

Well done to all who entered and a special thank you to my top three and Design Team special mention.

Hugs

We had lots of beautiful entries for the September challenge I hosted. I really did enjoy seeing all your leaf themed projects. As always to choose a Top 3 and a special mention is tough but after a lot of deliberation, here they are in order of their entry.

Number 14 Emma

The unusual oxides Emma chose to stencil and to colour her leaves with made for such a delightful card.

Number 61 Mac Mabel

I am a sucker for wreath type projects and the one Mac Mabel  made using her wonderful leaves is so beautiful, topped off by some gorgeous acorns too.

Number 74 Sid

I do love all things Tim Holtz and Sid created a beautiful tag using Tim's leaf dies. He added them to a  water coloured  background, so lovely.

and last but by no means least is my Design team special mention. This goes to
 Number 83 Jane

Jane used lots of leaves and ephemera to create a gorgeous  junk journal. Do check it out. Jane is a brand new blogger, which these days is a rare delight so give her some newbie love too.

Thanks everyone for sharing all your lovely makes and entering the challenge. Enjoy the autumn and keep crafting.

Hugs,

Jane x

Fantastic work all around!  Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride and don't forget to join us in our October Challenge xx

October 2021 - Autumnal Colours and/or Halloween

  Welcome to our October Challenge.

This month the theme is "Autumnal Colours and/or Halloween" chosen by the lovely Corrie

Corrie

 Hello everyone,

It is my turn (Corrie) to host the challenge this month and I have chosen the theme of 'Autumnal Colours' and/or 'Halloween'. So I would like you to make something in yellow ochres, burnt oranges, muted greens and/or browns OR you could go all out on the oranges, greens and/or purples with a Halloween project. I will look forward to what you all make! You never know, you might win a £20 voucher for the shop! Before you enter your project though, please read the rules!

Here is my first project and there is a video too!

Hop over to my YouTube channel to see how I made this!

I will be back in a few days with a new project and another video!

 Sue

Good morning and a very happy Friday. Well, Autumn is now firmly with us, so it's a very fitting time for our new Autumnal Colours/Halloween challenge.

There are more details of how this was made here on my blog.
I'll see you later in the month with something a little spookier!

Take care and have a very happy October x

   Rachel

I just adore Autumn - the colours, the promise of crispy days, fungi and so much more. Details of my make are available on my blog here.

Miriam

Happy October.  Here is my first project for the month

I think these colours embrace autumn and make me think about walking through the park amongst the trees that have lost their leaves.  Pop over to my blog to see more details.

Happy crafting!

Miriam

Jane

I love this time of the year when the trees take on their autumnal hues. These have inspired my card for today. If you would like to see how I made it I have a step by step on my blog here, just flutter on over.

Happy October everyone. I will be back with my 2nd make on the 13th, which will have a much more spooky take on the theme.

Bye for now,

Jane x
