Hi again, it's my turn to show you another project for the 'Blue and Green' theme.

I don't like...

For this month's Blue and Green theme (which I have LOVED!) I have tried to think a little more differently and make a journal page in less than half an hour.
I simply added white Fresco Finish paint to a black page in my journal and made sure that it was thin coverage so some of the black shows through. I'd used a stencil for my first project this month and so I simply used the leftover ink by flipping the stencil over and rubbing it to transfer the ink to the page (which is why the numbers are reversed!) The blue heart and green coloured stamped images finish off the page.
Thank you, as always for popping by!

July Winner, Top 3 & DTSM

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce the July winner of our Challenge, Top Three and Design Team Member Special Mention.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!

July winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is...

#23 Lovely Linda

Wow what can I say! There were 128 wonderful entries into my things with wings theme for our July challenge. I was delighted to see so many diverse projects. Thanks so much to everyone who rose to the challenge, it was great fun visiting all your blogs. I'm sorry if I didn't manage to comment on everyone's..I would have been away for days. This however did lead to a dilemma...how on earth could I just chose a Top 3 from the 128? Well after a couple evenings I did manage it and here there are, in the date order they were submitted into the challenge.

As you well know I have a "cute" side too. This sweet little bird card flew into the challenge early on and immediately caught my eye. Gail's CAS (Clean and simple) design is delightful and despite all that white space that little bird stamp and words really gives the feeling of flying and movement. A really super cute card which made me smile.

I love colouring images (when I get the time) and Carol's brilliant dragon stood out with its gorgeous red, white and blue colours. Her colouring is fabulous and he stands out so well on the speckled background. A most unusual "thing with wings" and a striking card.

Nora's gorgeous art journal spread joined the challenge during the last few days of July and what beautiful pages she created. There is so much texture and her painted butterfly is stunning. The fabulous background and colours are so summery too. A really beautiful entry.

So those are my Top 3. Now I just need to reveal my Design Team Special Mention (DTSM)...and it goes to

Janner obviously knows my weakness for fairies as one of my favourite things with wings...in fact she quite rightly said that it sounded wrong to call a fairy a "thing". This is the most delightful card...those fairies are perfectly silhouetted against the gorgeous stamped and inked background. The monochrome colour scheme works perfectly too for this very magical card and as the sentiment says, "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it".... I could not agree more!

Thanks again to everyone who entered and made it such a pleasure to see so many gorgeous things with wings. Remember that our current August challenge theme is Blues and Greens and we hope to see lots more of your lovely work. Here is the link. Enjoy the summer and happy crafting.

Bye for now,

August 2017 - Blues and Greens

Welcome everyone to our August Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Blues & Greens", chosen by the lovely Corrie

Hello everyone,

and welcome to my Challenge. For this month's theme I chose one of my favourite colour combinations: greens and blues. I would love to see you create something in these colours and don't forget you could just win a GBP 20,- voucher to spend in the shop !

I you'd like to know how I made this then hop over to my BLOG and I'll tell you all about it!
I will be back in a few days with another project !

"Blues and Greens" - what a beautiful colour combi!
Okay, I decided to add some red too, but  this makes the blue/green background pop out even more I think.
For my first project this month I made a Fantasy card. I had so much fun! If you want to know how it came together, please visit my blog.
Have a wonderful holiday month!

Well, it's birthday season again around here, so it's back to the craft room for me - cloud bathing was getting a little bit boring anyway!

You can't beat a little bit of Tim Holtz when it comes to a 'guy card', and I've teamed his stamps with his stencils, inks, and dies. More details can be found here at Sue The Iron.
Thank you, Corrie, for the fun challenge, and have a fun week everyone! x

I've been having fun layering up some blues and greens media paints to create a mixed media background and a panel for the cover of a new journal I am in the process of making.

If you'd like to see how the layers unfold I would be very pleased to see you at Bumblebees and Butterflies where I have the process steps and more photos to go with the details.
Thanks for this great theme Corrie I have always loved blue and green together but I just don't use them that often, so it was lovely to play with them again.

A glasses case is a useful gift idea and also great way to get your crafting skills seen by lots of people, unwittingly advertised by your gift recipient....!

Come and read the details on how I made this and see more pics on my blog !

I love the colour combination of blue and green (green is my very favourite colour!) and often use them together. For this month I wanted create a layered look from the image to the tag to the background allowing the colours to be distinct and also harmonious by carrying the leaf stamp across both. i'm looking forward to seeing how you interpret this month's theme. Gabrielle x

Blue and green are 2 of my favourite colours so I was delighted with Corrie's theme for August. There is so much scope for inspiration using these colours. I have made a male and female card this month..this is the male one today. I have all the details and a step by step if you would like to travel pop over to my blog here. I will share my female card later in the month. Enjoy the summer holidays and your summer crafting 😎.

Bye for now,

Blue and green should never be seen, is something that resonates from my childhood! Pop over to my blog for details of my journal page.

Hello All, I have made a mini canvas board as a birthday card for our August challenge: Blue and green. For this canvas I used Tim Holtz's stencil and stamps, and of course many shades of Tim's blue and green markers. If you want to know more about my canvas, please hop on my blog. Thank you!

Blue and green meant an underwater scene for me - and here it is. There is a step by step on my blog here if you would like to pop over! I do hope you can join us! Hugs rachel x

Blue and Green are one of my favourite colour combinations so I was thrilled to create a journal page
using one of my own stamps now available in store and this gorgeous colour combo.
