Hello lovelies, it´s Evelyn
For my second inspiration I made a card for a man in blue and green.

I used the brand new Seth Apter Mini Stamps from PaperArtsy for my background. You can find them in the shop!

Be Careful What You Wish For

Sue
Good morning and happy Wednesday. I'm here with my second piece for our Blues and Greens challenge. When my son saw me as a mermaid on a recent Art By Marlene challenge he mentioned how good that would be on his birthday card. Well as I say, be careful what you wish for...

Not wishing to hog the limelight, I've put him on there too!
There are more photos over on my blog, so I would love to see you over there. Have a very happy week x

June Challenge Winner, Top3 & DTSM

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce the June Challenge It's A Bugs Life winners.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  So here are the June winner of our Challenge and Jane's Top Three & DTSM.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!

June winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is...
#18 Crafty Sunflower
Congratulations Liz - your winner's code & bade will be with you shortly.

Good morning it's Jane here this morning with my Top 3 and special mention post following the "It's a bugs life" challenge I hosted for June. Thanks so much for coming up with such lovely work, some were very humorous too and really did make me smile.

So here are my Top 3, in order of entry to the challenge.

#1  from Magreet
Margreet included both butterflies and a bee in her lovely mixed media panel. The textures she achieved and the positioning of her bugs gave it a very vintage feel, almost like an old fashioned specimen piece. Beautiful!

#15 by Sara Emily
This is another beautiful, vintage feel panel with a gorgeous textured butterfly as the focal. There is even metal in this "bug". Super details and attention to detail and the sentiment is a favourite of mine. There is so much wonder in Mother Nature. Stunning!

#32 by Carol
Carol also features butterflies for her bugs and I love the simplicity of this piece. Sometimes less is more and I think that Carol has created such a timeless piece just with a simple stenciled background and washes of brown in the background. Gorgeous!

So on to my design team special mention and this goes to#16 Jane
Jane created these 2 gorgeous bee theme bug cards and both are delightful. I love the colouring and the design of her beehive scene on the first and the sparkly wings and simple but beautiful design of the 2nd. And yes I love bees too. Such lovely work, thanks Jane.

Thanks again to everyone who entered "It's a bugs life" in June.
Remember that our current  "Blues and greens" challenge is up and running now and you can find it here
Have a lovely summer, enjoy admiring the bugs in your own gardens.
Back soon,
Bye for now,
Jane x
