Hello everybody! We're delighted to welcome Karen from Karen's Crafting Obessions as our guest this month. Karen won our challenge in December and today she's here with her take on this month's Pimp It Up theme. You're going to love what she's created, so without more ado, let's hand over to her...

I have crafted in one way or another since childhood and I’ve learnt that I am one of those people that need to create or make something. I love creating home décor, mixed media canvas, journal pages and tags and I like to design and create cards. I’m learning to draw and paint from You Tube videos and online tutorials. I’ve tried different crafts: candle making, silk painting, glass painting, fabric painting, origami and sewing. These days I’m obsessed with mixed media products and techniques.
I decided to recycle three old paintbrushes that had damaged and
broken bristles. Originally I planned to bin them until the idea for this
project popped into my head.
I painted the pallette with white gesso then added circles of
texture paste with a stencil because I wanted it to look like there were
puddles of paint on the palette. Once the texture paste was dry I
coloured each circle with a different colour of acrylic paint. I attached
a Tim Holtz stencil and added the wooden grain detail with Vintage Photo
Distress ink pad and dried the ink.
I glued the three tatty paintbrushes together and gave them two
coats of gesso before painting with white acrylic. Once they were dry I
added matt medium to the bristles where were rough and dipped them into
glitter. I used another MDF piece which I coated with gesso and then
painted before stamping the sentiment onto it.

Hi everyone. Miriam here again, sharing with you my second project for the April challenge. This time I have used cardboard from a cereal box and lots of odds that I have lying around from other projects.
Hello it's Jane here today from Jane's Journal with my second DT project for this month's "Pimp it up" challenge. This time I decided to turn an ordinary flower pot into something much more interesting and fun using stamps, paints and inks.
I have a step by step over on my blog here with lots more photos of how my very brown, very ordinary terracotta flower pot got its metamorphosis.
Hello! Teresa here again - welcome to my second project for our Pimp It Up challenge. This time I have upcycled a tin to create a pretty storage pot for my craft desk.
You can see all the step by step instructions and photos over on my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by today xx
and welcome to my second project for the April Challenge that is "Pimp it up". I decided on using a piece of a card board box to make a tag.
After I cut the tag (Using a knife and a hole punch) I stripped off some of the paper so the corrugation became visible. I filmed everything after that.
I hope you'll visit my blog HERE or you can hop over straight to YouTube HERE.
Why not play along with us ! You might just win a voucher for the shop !
Thank you for stopping by today ! I'll be back soon !
Good morning and happy Friday 13th! Here's my second project for this month's fun challenge, after all you can never have too much storage.
This is an A4 kraft ring binder, and it's been falling off the top shelf for about a year now, so I thought it was time that I did something with it! Please join me over on my blog for more pictures.
Don't forget - no walking under any ladders today!
Hello there! Rachel here today with more inspiration for our 'pimp it up' challenge ....this time I took a £1 box from the Works and turned it into this....
If you would like to see how I achieved this transformation, please follow the link to my blog here.
This month it´s my turn to host the new challenge and I want you to "Pimp it up!".
I decided to "pimp up" a notebook. If you want to see all the steps I made (and it was maaaany steps), unwrap your chocolate bunny, grab a cup of coffee and visit my blog.
Good morning and happy Easter. I had such fun with this new challenge and it's useful too.
It's a phone holder for my craftroom, as allegedly I lose my phone in there about a hundred times a day. This can't be true as I keep a very tidy craft room (snort's with laughter!).
There are more pictures over on my blog so I would love to see you over there.
Have a very happy April xx
Miriam
Happy Easter to you all. Miriam here with my first project for the April challenge.
Pop over to my blog to see how I created this little project.
Hello there! I do hope you can join our new challenge .... it could be just the excuse you were looking for to upcycle something that you use that looks just a bit ordinary ....it certainly got me busy with our trusty coin tin!!!!
It's all roses and shabby chic today on my blog with my pimped up frame!
Join me for a cup of roses here and read all the details on how
I transformed this ordinary frame.

Hello everyone,
and Happy Easter ! Today sees the start of a new Challenge of which the theme "Pimp it up", reuse or alter, was chosen by the lovely Evelyn. I chose to reuse some old book paper for this art journal spread.
I have filmed to process so please HOP (excuse the pun) over to my YouTube Channel HERE or blog HERE where you'll find a link to the video. Or, you can click on the pic below !
Happy Easter everyone and there are double celebrations in my house as today is also my birthday!
For the fun theme this month I "pimped up" a little Links box. I wanted to keep a few of my treasured Links charms in it and also reuse a lovely metal star. This came from a Christmas gift tag my son gave to me. It has been sitting on my side waiting for a home and this was an ideal opportunity to use it.
This is my finished box.
It's very hard to show it in one photo so if you would like to see some before and after photos, as well as a step by step of my processes, do hop pop on over to my blog here. I will raise a virtual glass of bubbly to you all today as I celebrate being a year older.
Have a lovely day.
Beautiful Pimped Up projects from our Design Team and a Happy Easter Sunday Birthday to Jane. So it's over to you now, create your project and link it below with the chance to win a £20 voucher to use on the Country View Crafts website. Thanks to everyone who took up the Postcards challenge last month. There are lots of fantastic entries and the winner will be announced soon.
