Create Art

For my second project this month on the theme of metal I wanted to make something that could easily be a card or front to an art journal or a variety of other uses! I painted the tag with Snowflake Fresco Paint and added Gathered Twigs Distress Ink through a stencil. Then I added the stamped leaves and then assembled the pieces continuing the metal theme. I like the simplicity of this tag - sometimes it's good to keep it simple - something I should try more often!

Altered Little Note Pad

I want to share my altered little note pad with you. I love the industrial, steampunky look of things and of course thinking of steampunk and metal, there must be some gears and cogs!

Stamped and Embossed metal

Embossing a stamped image does take a bit of time and effort but has the wow factor!

Good morning it's Jane here. Firstly can I thank you all for the love you sent for my dragonfly card..I was really blown away! The weather has turned much more autumnal so my second inspiration card for our metal theme this month has some autumnal hues....

September 2017 - Metal

Welcome everyone to our September Challenge.

Our theme this month is "Metal", chosen by the lovely Miriam

Hi all, it's my turn to pick the project for the month.  I have chosen 'Metal' which features in my crafting a lot. I also happen to have a very large tool box which is full to the brim of metal embellishments and watch parts.

For my project I have altered a cheese box to create a trinket box.

The August bank holiday weather was so beautifully hot and sunny. We even had a dragonfly fluttering in the garden near my flowers. As I searched for inspiration for our fun metal theme this month I knew just what I could to do..I would make metal flowers and a dragonfly! When Miriam suggested that this month's topic would be metal - I knew I wanted to use this JoFy stamp set! I made a rusty background using metal tape, a texture fade and Fresco paints and real rusty wire to suspend the light bulbs and for the robot's neck. Gabrielle x

Some weeks ago I went to a flea market and found this pretty silver platet spoon - perfect for this challenge, Miriam hostes this month! I decided to alter it.
