Traditional Christmas stamping

Hello it's Jane here today with my 2nd post to hopefully inspire you to join our current hand stamped challenge for November. As Christmas is fast approaching I made a traditional Christmas card using images from my childhood; Father Christmas and a snowman...of course!

I also love the sentiment...and yes I still look to the skies on Christmas Eve...I even hear sleigh bells..do you? If you would like to see how this all came together grab a ride on Santa's sleigh and join me over on my blog here where all will be revealed.

Bye for now,

Jane x

November 2019 - Hand Stamped

Welcome everyone to our November Challenge.
Our theme this month is Hand Stamped, chosen by the lovely Craftyfield. We love you taking part in our challenges so this month, (don't forget focal point must be hand stamped) to enter your projects to be in with a chance to win a £20 Gift Voucher.

This month I share my love of stamping and I am so looking forward to see your stamped entries!

I want stamping to be the focus of your makes, although you are free to use die-cuts, stencils etc... around the main image. Do share the name of your stamps or, if you are using found objects, your own carved implements (potato print anyone?!) share their picture. You can using stamping platforms and acrylic blocks, but NO digis.
To kick off the challenge I transformed a book cover, as usual, all the details are on my blog.

So on your blocks(*), get set, stamp!

(*) Stamping blocks of course, see what I did there...

Good morning and welcome to November. As I type this it's cold and rainy, but hopefully when you read it I'll be basking (do people still bask?) in the sunshine on my holidays.
For me this is the perfect challenge as I love stamping, and I also love retro, so here's a combination of the two!

There are a lot more pictures here on my blog, so I would love it if you visited.
Thanks very much for looking and have a wonderful month xx

Happy November.
Stamping is my favourite craft technique.  I have used it both in the background and for my focal image.
Here is my first project to share with you:
Pop over to my blog  to see how I created this card.
Happy stamping!

Halloween is over and today is 1st November and All Saints' day. I wanted to mark this transition day with a tag. My Visible Image guardian angel served as my "saint" saying goodbye to Halloween and looking forward to searching the starry skies at Christmas. Not long now!
Hidden underneath my stamping you can see a very starry golden background, do fly over to my blog here to see it.
Have a great month and happy stamping.
Bye for now Jane x

Its a twofer one with my make today - if you check out my blog you can see how I created an A4 page and then turned it into two cards. Hope you can join us for some stamping!

Christmas bokeh

Good morning it's Jane here today with some more bokeh inspiration for you. For my first card I went with lots of rich colour. This time, as I am sure you are all getting on with (or needing a kick start to) your Christmas card making, I went with a more festive feel; black, white and a touch of gold.

Augsut & September Challenge Winners, Top 3s & DTSMs

Hello everybody!  It's time to announce the August & September Challenge Winners.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  So here are the August winner of our Challenge and Miriam's Top Three & DTSM followed by the September winner of our Challenge and Rachel's Top Three & DTSM  .  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!
August Texture's winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is..

Congratulations Crafty Jean - your winner's code & badge will be with you shortly

Miriam with you again today with my top 3 and designer special mention of the August Texture challenge.

I have to say, I was totally blown away by the amazing projects that were shared for the Texture theme - it actually made my choosing very difficult.

Here are my top 3:

I totally fell in love with Alison's project.  At first glance it looks very subtle and vintage shabby chic, but when you look more into the detail there is so much to see.  I love the layers and textures created here.  Just beautiful.

This is such a textured project - and useful! Win win!  I love the texture on this vase.  And, as we slide into Autumn, it brings back memories of a wonderful Summer.  Just lovely!

I love the clean and simple look of this card.  However, when you look at it more closely you can see the wonderful texture created by paste and also ink.  The layers of colour in the flower compliment it beautifully.

Designer Special Mention:

This project blew me away.  The colours create texture alone, then you combine it with textile and different mediums.  I love the movement created here and even the added addition of the ink splats.  Totally amazing!

So, there you have it.  Thank you to everyone who joined in with the Texture challenge - it was great fin to create and even more fun seeing what you all created.

September winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is...
Congratulations Laura - your winner's code & badge will be with you shortly

I love this stamp and the tag carol made is so very pretty. Gorgeous colours and a beautiful underwater scene.

Really pretty card with lots of beautiful wildlife!

My super special mention goes to #16 empireofthecat who produced more than one piece for this
challenge. This  canvas  is just fabulous - so much detail and so much colour and texture! Love it!

Thanks all for your beautiful entries - I wish I could have placed you all!
Rachel xx

Fantastic work all around!  Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride.
