I can see why you would be inspired by Janes colourway, the salvaged patina looks fantastic against the glimmer of the copper. What a stunning card Debs with so much attention to detail given to bring those die cut flowers to full bloom. Stunning. Creative wishes Tracey x

May Winner, Top 3 and DTSM

Hello everybody! Here are our May Winners.  There were some really fabulous entries and we always love seeing what you're inspired to make by each theme.  Are you sitting comfortably?  Then let's begin!

The May winner of the £20 Country View Crafts voucher, selected by Random Generator from the challenge entries is

____________

May's challenge, hosted by Craftyfield, was "We will always have Paris". Here is what she thought:

Well... my choice of theme was not popular with everyone but, the ones who took the challenge were particularly inspired and some of you even entered multiple times. You have enjoyed finding old stash and retrieved photos to create wonderful art. To me you are all winners and it was hard choosing just 3!  But here goes... my Top 3 in no particular order:

Entry 26 - Joan:

I loved this combination of stamps which perfectly illustrate our theme.

Entry 24 Linby :

Do visit Linby's post to see more of this lovely keepsake documenting her trip to Paris, lots of stamping, photos and ephemera give it a real life feel. Linby also had another great entry (no 16) with a Paris fashion theme.

Entry  21 Matilde

A lovely journal page with 2 ladies of Paris who both have inimitable style, the iron lady (no not that one!) and Coco Chanel. Matilde demonstrates that with a bit of imagination you don't need a lot of supplies to capture the essence of Paris!

Finally my Special Mention goes to Vee who created a page on the theme of Love, which remind us that Paris is one of the most romantic city in the world! Vee's detailed and cute die-cut is complemented by Tim Holtz supplies, but no grunge in sight!

Thanks to all of you for playing with us, I enjoyed seeing all your makes and reading your posts!

Fantastic work all around!  Congratulations - your badges will be on their way soon, and we hope you'll display them with pride and don't forget to join us in our August Challenge xx

Using one stencil

 Hi everyone, it's Jo here.

Today I'm sharing an art journal page for this month's Use a Stencil (or two) challenge, which I created using the same stencil a few different ways.

Firstly, I applied some crackle paste through the stencil, then some Distress Ink and finally I used the stencil like a stamp by covering it with ink and pressing it onto my page.

To see how it all came together and a full list of products, please pop over to my blog Let's Art Journal.

Thanks so much for joining me today! Hugs, Jo x

Good morning and happy July everyone. Summer will be getting into full swing now and hopefully tea, cake and chatter outside in the sunshine will be the order of the day. For my first make I used my Tea party stencil and invited the Cheshire cat.

He is smiling at the thought of all of this and has already taken up pole position, ready and waiting. If you would like to see how my make came together pop the kettle on and come on over to my blog here where all is revealed. I will be back soon with my 2nd make soon, which is sea inspired. Enjoy the sunshine.

Bye for now,
