A Hipster Birthday

Good morning and happy Friday, it's nearly the weekend!. It's Sue here with my second 'anything except cute' piece and as I needed a 'man' card, I've raided  my Tim Holtz stash. Tim never lets me down, and he certainly wont in the foreseeable future - have you seen all the lovely stuff he keeps bringing out, I think I may have to go back to work! Anyway, here's my card.

There are a lot my pictures here on my blog. Have a very happy day, and thanks very much for looking x

More love in February

Hello it's Jane here with my 2nd project to hopefully inspire you to join our "anything but cute" February challenge  For this card I stayed with the "love" feel of February but rather than a Valentine's card I designed a general non cute love card.
I made a metal background using aluminium tape...if you would like to see how I did this just pop over to my blog here where I will  foil  share my process with you. Remember that February is a short month so you only have 1 more week to enter and possibly win the £20 crafting voucher to stock up on all the fab new products that have been arriving on the Country View craft website.

Bye for now,

February 2018 - Anything But Cute

Welcome everyone to our February Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Anything But Cute", chosen by the lovely Christine

Craftyfield

Hello crafters, I am so excited to be hosting this month challenge! I have chosen an easy theme for you... You can use any media, colours, style, but no cute characters, critters etc...

I made an address book, Midori style, to inspire you. Come by my blog to see it close
and personal as it is difficult to capture the details with this shimmering paper.
I will see you in 2 days with another make.

Hello everybody,
here is my shabby chic floral box
with Stampers Anonymous stamps by Tim Holtz.
If you like it, please visit my blog where you find my tutorial.
Thank you!

Our chosen theme of Anything But Cute suits me perfectly!! I can do cute, but prefer to be a bit more off the wall. This mixed media canvas is certainly a bit different:

A walkthrough of how I created it and some detail photos can be found on my blog.
Thanks for looking!

Good morning everyone and welcome to February. I needed a special birthday card, but as my Crazy Dogs are off the table for being too cute, I had to come up with something else.

This is a 70th birthday card, and I think I've had some of this stash since the 70's! There are more photo's over on my blog so I hope to see you over there xx

We are now in the love month, yes February is the time for us old romantics! I got engaged many moons ago on a Valentine's day and we still celebrate it every year. My card today had to be a Valentine's but with a Tim Holtz twist.
You can see how I made the background and put my card together over on my blog here where a big squeeze warm welcome awaits. The other great thing about February is that we are getting very close to spring now...hooray.
Bye for now,

Corrie

Hello there - I have chosen to make a card to go with this months theme - but am uncertain as to whether or not he actually is cute! What a dilemma! If you would like to see how I put this card together please see my blog here. I do hope you can join our challenge!
Hugs rachel xx

Miriam

For the first project of the month I have chosen a soft project.  I love creating tags, they are a good size and great to use on cards.

Here is my project

Join me over on my blog  to see how I created this tag.

Happy crafting!
Miriam

Hello everyone here we are in February already! I have a journal page for you today which shows how every page is salvageable

Hugs xx
