October 2018 - Plant-tastic

Welcome everyone to our October Challenge 

Our theme this month is Plant-tastic (no rules but along the lines of vegetation - which can include trees, flowers even fruit and vegetables too) chosen by the lovely Rachel

Good morning and happy Monday. I really enjoyed this challenge - and it definitely was a challenge! Here's my first make.

I've used the wonderful PaperArtsy Scrapcosy stencil here - this really knows how to fill a page. There are a lot more photographs here on my blog. Have a very happy October, and I'll see you very soon with my second piece x

Although there are only 2 more months left of this year there are still lots of flowers in my garden which continue to inspire me. For my first project for our "Plantastic" challenge I have made a floral card with just a hint of the colder days to come.

I used lots of texture and another of the awesome Tim Holtz' 3D impresslits embossing folders. If you would like to see how I grew made my card all the details are over on my blog here

Enjoy this season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, my 2nd DT make coming up on the 19th is most definitely in that vein!

Plants are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the crafter, and one of my favourite motif, flowers for the girls, trees for the boys, grasses, twigs, mushrooms for all... what a treat for us!
